Welcome to my Website!
I would like to start out by saying that I am so excited to start the school year with a fantastic class full of kiddos!
I look forward to watching my students grow and learn together throughout the year!
I feel that student's success in the classroom is determined by many factors, one of the most important being family involvement, and that is why this website is going to be so important! I want each and every one of my families to feel like they know what is going on in their child's classroom, even if they are unable to be there with them. I want families to know that I am available and, most importantly, I want you to be a part of your child's education!
I plan to use this website to update families on classroom assignments, announcements, and other activities that we will be doing throughout they year. This will also be a way in which parents can get in contact with me through email.
Let's take a quick tour, shall we?

I will be updating the assignment page regularly with information about homework assignments and examples of content that we will be covering in class during the week. Make sure to check your child's planner daily, as that will always be my first line of communication with you about specific information about your child, but this page should be a handy supplement.

Classroom Announcements
Our first day of school is Monday, August 3rd! Students will be expected to arrive at the school by 8:15 a.m. and will leave at 11:15 a.m. on Monday. The remainder of the week will be on regular schedule.
Parents, you may walk your child into the school but please make sure that you get a visitor's pass as you come in the door. Visitor's passes ensure that we know how many people are in the building in case of an emergency and it also helps with keeping our students safe. You will be asked to leave the classroom by 8:15 a.m. so that we may get our day started quickly and do not miss out on any learning time! We will see you again at 3:15 p.m. for dismissal!

Behavior Management
I will be utilizing a computer/phone application titled "ClassDojo" to keep track of your child's behaviors. This website will allow me to track both positive and negative classroom behaviors. You can access notes about your child's behaviors and will allow you to see how much your child progresses throughout the year. Some of you may have already received an email with information on how to sign up to view your child's account. Those of you who have not yet received an email may need to contact me with an email we can use to set up this account.
You may read more about ClassDojo here.

Classroom Supply List
We ask that all students come prepared with supplies for the school year.
These supplies will be your child's responsibility to keep up with. Please check with your child or you may contact me to make sure that they have everything that they need!
This list is subject to change throughout the year as we begin new projects and complete others. Please check back regularly for updates on supplies that your child may need for new class assignments. Any extra items that are sent will be kept in a box in your child's cubby until they are needed. If you would like to make donations to classroom supplies (supplies that may be used by any child), please note that on the items you send.

Snack Time
We will have a daily snack before recess. Each month students will be assigned a day to bring snack. These assignments will be sent home in your child's take home folders and will also be posted on this webpage monthly. Students will be asked to bring a prepackaged snack for all students in the class (25 students). Per school policy, any food brought to the school for a class must be store bought and prepackaged. We also ask that you consider healthy options for our children, such as crackers rather than cookies. Each student will likely be asked to cover 10 snack days for the entire year, you may choose to bring 10 sets of snacks in August or you can bring them in monthly. Please make sure that snacks are delivered to the office by 12:00 p.m. on your child's assigned day.
If you have any concerns about your ability to bring snack, please contact me and we will make other accommodations.
